Mitsubishi distributors commonly fail for two reasons:
1 Either the coil is damaged or 2 The pickup and amplifier pack become defective.
How to test.
To ascertain if it is the coil apply a 12v probe to the left and middle terminals. This is enough to trigger a spark from a wire trailing from the high tension to the earth
(gap about 1mm). Do five times to ensure not working intermittently.
